Building on the medical education and clinical experience of healthcare professionals, this course provides students with the foundational skills needed to advise law firms, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies on medical matters and to act as expert witnesses in court. The curriculum for this course follows the educational guidelines established by the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. The only certification currently available for medical advisors for paralegals is the Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC) certification from the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
